TATA STEEL BSL LAUNCH DRIVE AGAINST THE DENGUE-MALARIA MENACE AMIDST THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC

Tata Steel BSL at Narendrapur in the Dhenkanal district of Odisha, on the 4th of July, has launched a three-month-long anti-malaria and anti-dengue drive after the rural areas of the industrial belt of Angul and Dhenkanal started witnessing cases of Malaria and Dengue amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The drive includes timely fogging and anti-larval spray and 46 scheduled awareness camps in 25 villages. The campaign is said to benefit about 33,000 villagers.

Tata Steel BSL has always been proactive in CSR activities participation. This massive three-month drive is also a continuation of a two-year-long campaign initiated by the corporate to benefit the rural communities around their industrial bases.

The campaign was formally launched by Mr. Pankaj Kumar Pradhan, Sarpanch, Narendrapur, and Mr Dibyahas Ray, Head of the CSR department at Tata Steel BSL, in the Narendrapur village with other villagers and company employees.
